Alex + Danny | The Foundry @ Puritan Mill

Alex’s mom reached out to Organized Occasions during the summer of 2018. They had been referred to us through past clients (& now friends, thanks Erik and Monica!) for design and wedding day management. We had our first meeting about a year out from the big day in order to talk through Alex’s vision.. She wanted classic neutrals: white blooms, lots of flowing greenery, and slate grey with gold accents. Her vision matched the selected venue perfectly, as we love that color scheme within an industrial setting!

The Foundry is a large space with very tall ceilings, so we knew we needed to add some height to the flowers to draw the eyes upwards. We decided to make the estate table the focal point of the space with large arrangements on gold harlow stands atop linen runners.T he other reception rounds showcased lush arrangements in concrete bowls mixed with Audrey lanterns and plenty of candlelight. It was dreamy!

Once the ceremony concluded at The Cathedral of Christ the King, guests drove themselves over to the Foundry for dinner + dancing. The Rudy Vaughn Band brought all the jams and they kept the dance floor packed all night long! Once the band ended, they had a friend DJ for the last hour. Their request? Straight hip hop. It was perfect.

Guests picked up their glow sticks and custom cookies (Rhodes Bakery is one of the best!) on their way out the door to send off the newlyweds with lots of love and congratulations. Alex + Danny- you guys were so much fun to work with and the joy you share for each other (and for life) is contagious! Thank you for letting us in on your engagement season and this most important day.
